The State’s Attorney’s Office receives referrals from the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (IDHFS) to provide free legal aid for child support enforcement. Accepts cases on the following types of matters: Obtaining legal paternity determinations (IDHFS is able to assist in locating a parent who does not reside with the child(ren)) Obtaining an order providing for child support and health insurance for minor children Seeking a modification of child support (by either parent) when legally warranted Enforcing child support orders that are not being complied with (including child support set in a dissolution proceeding)

Oversees law enforcement services for the Village of Deerfield. Provides 9-1-1 emergency services when there is an immediate threat to life or property. Investigates crimes and arrests crime suspects. Prevents the development of a serious crime. Also provides certified child safety seat installation. Dial 9-1-1 for emergency assistance.

Provides bus transportation service via: Shared-ride service Curb-to-curb service (drivers cannot escort riders outside of the vehicle or carry packages)

Advocates for teen girls and women in need. Provides assistance for the following:

• Holiday assistance and toy giveaway

Offers health screenings and treatment for minor conditions. Patients meet with a clinician over video while the in-person care team assists with the exam. Provides care for the following:

• Illness or injury
• Blood pressure screening
• Birth control and pregnancy testing
• Anxiety and depression screening
• STI services
• Asthma prevention
• Skin conditions

Provides patients, survivors, and loved ones group support to cope with cancer diagnosis. Discussions range from topical, practical matters to emotional and spiritual struggles. Also offers spousal and family bereavement groups.

Provides fire protection, medical aid, rescue, hazardous materials response, and a variety of other services to the public.

Provides pasteurized breastmilk to premature and ill babies. Offers support to moms who donate milk after loss.

Provides state-mandated and County services relating to animal control and animal protection. Offers such as: Low cost Spay/Neuter Assistance to qualified pet owners; Low-Cost Pet Rabies Vaccinations through Lake County veterinarians (All dogs and cats 4 months and older in Lake County are required to be vaccinated against rabies and registered.); and Microchips. Also offers a variety of other services, which include:

• Emergency rescue of injured and sick stray animals
• Interim shelter and care for stray and unwanted animals and transport to adoption centers
• Maintain a lost and found pet database
• Reuniting lost pets with owners
• Investigations are done regarding nuisance complaints, allegations of animal cruelty or neglect, as well as reports of stray, roaming or injured animals; or dangerous, vicious or biting animals
• Present educational programs to schools and community and civic groups

Offers HUD-assisted families become financially independent of government assistance by increasing their income. Case management services include: Job training Financial literacy Credit counseling Homebuyers education classes

Provides information to residents on issues related to indoor and outdoor air quality. Services includes: -Radon testing kits -Providing information about the Clean Air Act -Investigating inquiries about leaf -Open burning -Helping students with service projects related to the environment -Offering advice about mold or mildew, asthma and flood or sewer cleanups

Provides assistance with food, utilities, rent, medical expenses, and other immediate needs. Meets the client in their home and conducts a needs assessment. Provides referrals for community resources to support long-term sufficiency. NOTE: Saint Vincent de Paul provides general assistance services throughout Lake County. Individuals who do not meet residency requirements for this location will be referred to their nearest site.

Offers trash cleanup campaigns to fulfill community service hours for school or court. Participants choose where they want to clean and the hours they work. Program will track hours served and provide completion letters.

Provides supportive services for new parents in the military community. Offers prenatal education, developmental screenings, parenting skills, and play groups.

Assists individuals in submitting a complaint against their utility company. Services ensure consumers have safe, reliable utility services at reasonable rates.
