Mobile pantry that distributes free diapers and hygiene products. Offers free diapers, pull-ups, and wipes (if available) to families with children under the age of 4. Limit of two visits per month to receive supplies. Also offers incontinence supplies for seniors and individuals with a disability or special needs.

A designated location that provides relief from the cold and heat for at-risk citizens. Center does not offer provisions or care. Offers relief from the extreme weather conditions only.

Provides state-mandated and County services relating to animal control and animal protection. Offers such as: Low cost Spay/Neuter Assistance to qualified pet owners; Low-Cost Pet Rabies Vaccinations through Lake County veterinarians (All dogs and cats 4 months and older in Lake County are required to be vaccinated against rabies and registered.); and Microchips. Also offers a variety of other services, which include:

• Emergency rescue of injured and sick stray animals
• Interim shelter and care for stray and unwanted animals and transport to adoption centers
• Maintain a lost and found pet database
• Reuniting lost pets with owners
• Investigations are done regarding nuisance complaints, allegations of animal cruelty or neglect, as well as reports of stray, roaming or injured animals; or dangerous, vicious or biting animals
• Present educational programs to schools and community and civic groups

• Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) activities
• Career exploration

Offers care management services for seniors and adults with disabilities. Services include:

• Assistance with personal care needs
• Transportation and accompaniment to medical appointments and other outings
• Meal planning and preparation
• Errand-running for tasks such as grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, and other needs
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Medication management
• Researching senior living options, medical supplies, and equipment
• Friendly companionship and social activities

Administers Housing Choice Voucher program for income eligible households. Housing Choice Voucher program subsidizes part of the total rent. Housing Choice Voucher applicants are responsible for housing search and selection.

Serves as a 24-hour helpline for victims of domestic abuse and human trafficking. Offers crisis intervention and referrals for emergency shelter and other supportive services.

Offers general counseling for couples, families, and individuals ages 5 years and older.

Provides financial assistance for Township residents to alleviate a life-threatening circumstance or job-related expense. Individual must be experiencing a hardship due to an emergency, such as loss of income, reduction in work hours, or a medical illness.
