Offers financial aid to help Township residents prevent loss of home, job, or utilities. Funds are available once every two years and provide help to meet basic needs, including:

• Preventing eviction or past due rent/mortgage
• Preventing utility disconnection
• Work-related expense necessary to getting or keeping a job (for example, uniform or licensing fees)
• Cost of prescription medication

Amount of assistance determined on a case-by-case basis. Program does not disburse cash as all funds will be paid directly to vendors.

Provides supportive services for family caregivers of an enrolled veteran. Offers the following two programs based on level of care (see eligibility guidelines below): Program of General Caregiver Support Services (PGCSS)

• Individual support related to the care of the veteran
• Skills training on caregiving for a veteran's unique needs
• Respite care
• Peer support mentoring
• Training and support through in-person, online, and telehealth sessions
• Referrals to available resources

Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC) - Provides all services listed above and the following:

• Mental health support
• Virtual Psychotherapy for Caregivers Program (VPPC)
• CHAMPVA (if uninsured)
• Monthly stipend
• Beneficiary travel

Offers a market-style food pantry for individuals in need. Offers fresh produce, meat, dairy items, baked goods, and shelf-stable foods. Personal items and cleaning supplies may also be available.

Provides a 24 hour confidential helpline for veterans and their families. Provides support and referrals to nearest Vet Center for counseling services.

Offers general counseling services for individuals, couples, families, and group therapy. Also offers support for addiction recovery and post-adoption guidance.

Provides drug users a fast-track to addiction treatment services. Allows individuals to call or walk-in to Lake County Sheriff's Offices to request help. Individuals may surrender any drugs or paraphernalia without risk of criminal charges. A deputy will immediately coordinate phone screening with the Lake County Health Department. Based on the evaluation, individual will begin outpatient or inpatient treatment. Provides a police escort for any individuals who cannot transport themselves.

Offers weekly food pantry on Thursdays to individuals in need. Also offers baby supplies including bottles, formulas, and diapers.

Offers free mental health and wellness services to Township residents of all ages. Services include:

Responsible for repairing and maintaining roads in the township, including:

• Roadside mowing
• Tree trimming
• Snowplowing and ice control
• Drainage, storm sewers and culverts maintained to ensure proper flow of water
• Development and implementation of storm water program
• Street sign maintenance
• Dead animal removal
• Permits

Offers counseling services for adults and children ages 7 years and older. Includes individual, couples, and grief therapy. Also offers free drop-in counseling for high school students in Barrington.
