Grand Prairie Services (GPS) Emergency Behavioral Healthcare Center (EBHC) responds to adults experiencing a crisis through a variety of services, including short-term therapy, telephone support, and 24-hour crisis residential services. The crisis program has a capacity of 10 beds. EBHC services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Crisis counselors and therapists respond to each call, offering emotional support, face-to-face counseling, crisis assessments, and/or referrals.

Stickney Township offers a door-to door mini bus service available for township residents 60 years of age or older, or under 60 and disabled. This program provides access to medical clinics, doctor's offices, shopping, congregate meal sites when available and other destinations. The buses are lift-equipped. Passengers who are unable to get to and from the bus will require an escort. A mini-bus pass is needed to ride the bus and each person may ride the bus on weekdays, round-trip to one destination, five times per week.

Applications for seniors (65+) are available through the Township office. The Special Users Travel Card allows residents to travel on any RTA-funded form of transportation for reduced fare.

Home visiting helps to support a child's cognitive, emotional, and social development during the first years of life. By working with parents or caregivers of children from newborn to age 3, in their homes, we are able to work and track progress to ensure that children meet critical developmental milestones. Home visitors establish a customized Individual Family Support Plan for each family at their first meeting and track progress based on their goals. Activities guide parents and children in sharing and learning activities that improve gross motor, language, fine motor, social, and emotional skills.

Christian Community Health Center (CCHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and is licensed by the Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (SUPR) and has received HRSA funding to expand their behavioral health services to include a Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program for individuals who develop a dependence on opioids or alcohol.CCHC's MAT Care Team consists of a medical provider (prescriber), a Substance Abuse Counselor, and a Community Health Worker who will work together to help patients and clients create and execute a plan to end their use of opioids and alcohol and lead to a healthier life.
