LIHEAP:

• Beginning September 1, elderly, age 60 years and older and/or disabled household member, who may also be disconnected from their utilities or under imminent threat of losing their heating source from propane/wood may apply for assistance.
• Beginning November 1 households with children under the age of six years and households who are disconnected from their utilities and under imminent threat of losing their heating source from propane/wood may apply for assistance.
• General public can apply for assistance starting December 1-May 31, or until funds are depleted whichever comes first.

Primary care for every family member, services include treatment for colds, flus, infections, high blood pressure, diabetes, wellness visits (immunizations, shots, cancer testing), work, school and sports physicals, DOT and other physicals, women's health (Pap smears, mammograms, STD testing/treatment), pregnancy care and family planning services, minor procedures, weight management, management of diabetes and high blood pressure, child health (pediatrics and adolescent care) and geriatric medicine.

Consumer Support Services: Provides case management services for chronically ill adults who are discharged from a State-operated facility.

Operates as the Police for Swansea, Illinois responsible for protecting lives and property.

Shelter Plus Care: Provides permanent housing vouchers, by managing housing subsidy payments for those in permanent housing and assists clients in accessing safe, affordable housing and developing recovery communities.

Outpatient Mental Health: Provides family counseling, addressing issues such as school or employment stresses, family conflict or abuse and parenting issues.

Offers recreational programs for seniors age 60 years and older. Programs include but are not limited to bingo, bunco, social events, playing cards, line dancing, yoga, and more.

Accepts donations of baby clothing and diapers.

Operates as an Illinois State Police facility.
