Transportation is available to shopping areas, senior centers, and other service providers within Orland Township. Transportation to medical appointments outside Orland Township boundaries may also be arranged. Transportation service is available Monday through Friday from 8:15am to 4:00pm.

Stickney Township offers a door-to door mini bus service available for township residents 60 years of age or older, or under 60 and disabled. This program provides access to medical clinics, doctor's offices, shopping, congregate meal sites when available and other destinations. The buses are lift-equipped. Passengers who are unable to get to and from the bus will require an escort. A mini-bus pass is needed to ride the bus and each person may ride the bus on weekdays, round-trip to one destination, five times per week.

Bloom Township operates a curb-to-curb transportation service for Bloom Township residents age 60 and older or mobility-limited disabled persons. Transportation to stores, restaurants, medical appointments, and township activities, as well as other destinations are available. Vehicles are equipped with handicap-accessible lifts and are air-conditioned.

Connections to Care provides senior citizens in the northwest suburbs of Chicago transportation to medical appointments, such as general checkups, dental, vision, wound care, lab work, physical therapy, etc.

BriteLift provides non-emergency medical transportation to and from medical appointments.

Town of Cicero Senior Services provides free door-to-door bus service, available 7 days a week for all medical appointments, doctor visits, and other needs of local seniors and individuals with a disability.

Bremen Township offers door-to-door transportation for senior residents to grocery stores, beauty shops, banks or to visit a family member or friend anywhere within the Bremen Township boundaries. Transportation travels outside normal boundaries for medical appointments only. The fleet consists of sedans and handicap-accessible vehicles. Transportation is not available on State and Federal holidays.

Elite Ambulance provides non-emergency medical transportation.

Lemont Township operates the Vanpool transportation service to provide non-emergency transportation for Township residents to medical appointments that are located outside of Lemont Township. Vanpool is a door-to-door service and operates Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Passengers requiring assistance (wheelchairs, etc.) must have a companion to accompany them. One ride-along passenger/caregiver travels at no charge.

Township of Lyons offers free transportation services for Township residents 60 years and older and for those with a Disability to go grocery shopping, attend medical appointments, and more. Grocery-related trips may be scheduled once per week. Residents should call to inquire about other shopping trips or transportation to special events.

Village of South Chicago Heights offers the Courtesy Van transportation services to residents that are disabled or seniors 65 years of age and older. The van is equipped with a wheelchair lift. Examples of transportation destinations include: medical facilities, dental offices, law offices, physical therapy facilities, and grocery stores in the South Chicago Heights area.
