CEDA's LIHEAP programs offer heat and electricity assistance through the DVP and PIPP Programs. DVP (Direct Vendor Payment) issues a one-time benefit applied directly to your utility accounts. Please note, PIPP is not an available option for new customers, only for existing PIPP-enrolled customers. Cash payments are also available to eligible renters who do not have heating bills because their energy costs are included in the rent. Additional benefits for those enrolled in LIHEAP include access to home weatherization services, energy saving kits, and broken ("red-tagged") or otherwise malfunctioning furnace/boiler replacement assistance.On November 1, all income eligible households may apply. Known as FACs, Family Advocacy Centers are a partnership between Family Focus and the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). FACs provide parenting classes, one-on-one support, and can supervise visits with children who have been separated from their parents.

They help with cases involving: divorce/custody, landlord/tenant, debt/collections, estate planning, immigration and criminal records.

The Learning Center's employment assistance program focuses on pre-employment skills that allow students to succeed in a variety of workplace situations. Sessions consist of group discussions, practice interviews, resume building, and hypothetical work scenarios.

The Illinois Homeowner Assistance Fund Home Repair Program (HAFHR) allows eligible homeowners to address home maintenance needs delayed and exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible repairs will maintain the habitability of a home and prevent homeowner displacement. NWHP services Suburban Cook (excluding Chicago), DuPage, and Kane County. Funding availability is up to $60,000.

Ideas of civic engagement, environmental awareness, inclusion, collaboration & team building, brain play, reflection & journaling, and friendship & kindness are woven into the camp experience. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Online registration begins April 15 & 16. Camp runs June 24 - August 2.
