• The National Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Courses: promotes awareness and safe driving practices

• Live Victim Impact Panel: for individuals charged with DUI, reckless driving, or other serious traffic offenses

• Substance Awareness Module: provides an educational approach to drug and alcohol abuse

• Behavioral Choice Module: provide juveniles and adults strategies to look at their behavior and how to make better choices in the future

• All over-the counter medications
• Medication samples
• Pet medications

• Medicated ointments, lotions, creams and oils
• Liquid medication in leak-proof containers
• Homeopathic remedies

Items not acceptable for deposit in the collection box are:

• Needles/sharps
• Syringes with needles
• Thermometers
• IV bags
• Bloody or infectious waste
• Personal care products
• Empty containers
• Hydrogen Peroxide

Sharps Container available in the lobby for needle disposal. Sharps include:

• Syringes
• Hypodermic Needles
• Needles attached to tubing
• Lancets

To properly dispose of needles, do the following:

• Must use an approved disposal container that fits inside the disposal bin
• DO NOT deposit any loose sharps into the collection bin

Provides assistance with food, utilities, rent, medical expenses, and other immediate needs. Meets the client in their home and conducts a needs assessment. Provides referrals for community resources to support long-term sufficiency. NOTE: Saint Vincent de Paul provides general assistance services throughout Lake County. Individuals who do not meet residency requirements for this location will be referred to their nearest site.

Taxi-Cab Coupons: Provides taxi cab coupons for seniors and adults with disabilities. Coupons may be used for one way rides to and from Highland Park Hospital and are valued at $4.25.

Offers free HUD-approved housing counseling and mediation services for people facing foreclosure. The court-appointed mediator will help the individual and lender reach a meaningful solution.
