Benefits are provided on the Illinois Link Card, an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card that is accepted at most grocery stores.Additionally, IDHS offers the SNAP Employment & Training Job Placement program for those not exempt from SNAP work requirements such as Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWD). Work eligible SNAP recipients can obtain intensive case management, education such as reading and writing and math instruction or enrollment in GED or ESL classes, job skills training like computer literacy, pre-employment services like career mentoring, and unsubsidized job placement with retention services.
