Additionally, offers radon detection services through onsite testing or the provision of test kits for homes and other buildings.

Focuses on maintaining the environmental quality and health and safety of the community by enforcing local, state, and federal regulations related to water, sewage disposal, and other public health concerns. The program includes services such as financial assistance for abandoned well closures and on-site wastewater systems. Additionally, it ensures compliance with laws that mandate minimum standards for home sanitation, maintenance, occupancy, lighting, ventilation, and safety. Health inspectors conduct evaluations to verify the availability of hot and cold water, proper functioning of toilets and sewage disposal systems, structural integrity of roofs and walls, safe repair of interior features, and the absence of pests or rubbish. Citations are issued to landlords who fail to meet these requirements.

Conducts regulatory programs to help ensure safe food is served at local establishments, private on-site wastewater systems properly dispose sewage, and new and existing water wells provide safe drinking (potable) water. Also enforces local and state laws related to tanning and body art facilities.
