Hyde Park Neighborhood Club partners with MAPCorps to provide meaningful work experience and high-quality data for high school youth. Recruited to be employed as community data scientists, youth were trained to apply scientific methods and mobile technology to capture data about all the public-facing businesses and organizations serving their communities. During this program, youth were challenged to demonstrate personal integrity and apply their best critical thinking skills to the scientific, health, and civic engagement components of the MAPCorps experience.At MAPSCorps, Youth Researchers work with community-based organizations to collect valuable information (data) about the businesses and organizations in Chicago's communities. Once that data is collected, Youth Researchers work as a team to research their community and use the data to make recommendations for how to improve the health and well-being of the community's residents. At the end of the summer, Youth Researchers present their research and recommendations to researchers, policy-makers, elected officials, and other professionals at the August Scientific Symposium.

Heartland Human Care Services' Neon Youth program provides employment support to youth enrolled in the transitional housing program as well as youth who are accessing outreach/drop-in services at a community partner facility. The employment program is designed to build partnerships with employers and directly connect youth in both programs to employment opportunities as well as support them in being successful in these placements. Staff assist youth with developing employment skills such as resume building and interview preparation through 1:1 and group meetings and connect youth to employment through job search, job fairs, and direct placement.

They provide individual coaching strategies so residents can learn how to actively generate wealth and reinvest in the Greater Bronzeville Community.BSCO collaborates with a range of companies to provide youth with a variety of opportunities in areas such as research, retail, and recreation. An additional layer of their workforce development focuses specifically on youth ages 16 to 24 so they can improve their current skill sets in order to be better prepared for the workforce.
