Cook County Southland Juvenile Justice Council has partnered and/or funded school districts and agencies that were seeking to implement and/or enhance their respective environments in a restorative and holistic manner. Reset rooms were created and/or enhanced, restorative trainings, workshops, and curriculum were created, implemented and/or enhanced, and trends to reduce chronic absenteeism/truancy were created, implemented and/or enhanced. All funded subgrantees and subcontractors provided SMART Goals, Logic Model and executed their plans and process for education in the design and delivery of the implementation and delivery process.

The Buckle Up, Child Passenger Safety program, strives to reduce the number of motors vehicle-related injuries and fatalities among children in Chicago through community education and behavior change. Through monthly car seat workshops and car seat inspection stations as well as a network of over 15 community partners, the Buckle Up program provides car seat education, car seat installation assistance, and reduced-cost car seats to at-risk families.
