Program teaching people living in long-term care facilities and their families about their rights. It also helps them with problems they may have and gives information about nursing homes, assisted living facilities, supportive living facilities, and ways to pay for care. The program also finds and trains volunteers to visit nursing facilities in DuPage County. Each volunteer must visit their assigned facility once a month.

The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, mandated by the Older American's Act and the Illinois Act on Aging, works to protect and promote the rights and quality of life for residents living in long-term care facilities. Ombudsmen work to resolve complaints on behalf of people who receive long-term care services.
