Provides environmental health services to the Hamilton County communities. Services include food establishment sanitation, private sewage, private water, new water well, non-community water, tanning bed inspection, nuisance control (bed bugs, mosquitos, mold, etc.), and general sanitation.

Conducts inspections on food establishments, septic system/private sewage disposal (permitting and inspection), private well and water testing, well sealing, solid waste, nuisance, pest control, and other environmental complaints, and West Nile surveillance and vector control program.

Health inspectors conduct evaluations to verify the availability of hot and cold water, proper functioning of toilets and sewage disposal systems, structural integrity of roofs and walls, safe repair of interior features, and the absence of pests or rubbish. Citations are issued to landlords who fail to meet these requirements.
