Only persons certified by the Regional Transportation Authority are eligible to ride ADA Paratransit. Customers must have a disability or health condition that prevents them from using CTA and/or Pace fixed route services for some or all of their travel

To apply for ADA Paratransit, call the Regional Transportation Authority's (RTA) ADA Paratransit Certification program at 312-663-HELP (4357) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Once certified for ADA paratransit, the number to call for a reservation depends on where you are traveling, visit the website to view the phone directory. Call anytime between 6:00am to 6:00pm, rides should be scheduled at least one day in advance. Visit the website for additional information.

Self-pay; Current fare for a ADA Paratransit ride is $3.25 each way, PCAs ride free of cost; Riders may pay with cash, a one-ride ticket, or with a Ventra card

Pace Suburban Bus provides reservation-based paratransit for individuals who are ADA certified by the Regional Transportation Authority. Riders who are certified for ADA can also use Pace's Taxi Access Program (TAP) for trips that begin within the City of Chicago. The TAP program is less expensive than paratransit and often more convenient because rides do not have to be scheduled the day before.
