All Cook County Department of Public Health clinical services are conducted by appointment only. Eligibility requirements may apply and will be discussed when you call to make your appointment. The Cook County Department of Public Health's (CCDPH) Congenital Syphilis Program provides High-Risk Infant Follow-up (APORS) services to infants diagnosed with syphilis at birth to ensure that repeat blood testing (RPR titers) is done to document successful treatment and provide education regarding syphilis and its transmission. Public health nurses conduct home visits. Developmental screenings for infants by public health nurses at specified ages, and related health information to parents, to help the high-risk infant grow and develop as well as possible.
